(May 2015) This blog brings you Wisconsin health and medical news, events, in-depth industry leaders interviews, video clips and sometimes national news. This month, we’re focusing on local events. As always, if you have links, news or information to share in your county, contact Trish Reed.
Here are 5 events you should attend:

According to the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, 80% of health outcomes are determined by factors outside of clinical care, such as health behaviors, social determinants and the physical environment. Join Wisconsin Health News on June 2 for a briefing at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Zilber School of Public Health. Registration and networking begins at 11:30 am. Program is noon-1 pm.

June 4: WHPRMS webinar on retail revolution
Hospitals, health systems, and other providers can no longer rely on the same well-worn channels for growth that have sustained them in the past. New channels—for insurance coverage, for referrals, for patient access—are disrupting established patterns. But that disruption is an opportunity for progressive organizations to deliver greater value and win market preference in new ways. The presenter is David Willis, VP of Health System Strategy and Executive Education at The Advisory Board Company. Presentation is 11 am-1 pm.
