The truth is, there are heeds of information on the web to weed through. To help manage time, resources and still get the value you’re looking for, I’ve compiled a list of health care blogs to bookmark and read.
Of course, I’d list this one first! We work hard each month to share timely, relevant health care information for you—here, you’ll read about Wisconsin health care legislation, marketing strategies, case studies and interviews from our very own experts and members alike.

I love this blog and consider it one of the best resources for quick reading when short on time. The blog focuses on social media, mobile marketing and physician promotion. They refresh their news daily and it’s available via RSS and easy-reader formats for mobile use. It’s also a great place to ask questions and get advice.
I came across KevinMD when I first started Mercy’s social media strategies in 2007. This high-traffic blog was started by Kevin Pho, MD and is constantly updated with breaking medical news and insights from physicians and other leading health care professionals. He’s on Twitter too. Check him out here.
Wisconsin Health News is one of the best resources for health care news that affects us, locally. Wisconsin Health News is an independent, non-partisan, online news organization designed to meet the needs of busy Wisconsin health care professionals and decision makers.
This isn’t just a place for marketing. It’s also filled with health information technology, human resources, finances and risk management. The best part is, you can bookmark the blog and/or topic best suited for you.
There is an expansive library of health care content refreshed hourly. You can use this blog to generate social media and blogging ideas and/or get up-to-date on the latest tips and news.
As you are well aware, Obamacare (a.k.a. Accountable Care Act), is paving its way in the health industry. People want to know how it will affect their family, overall care, etc. As health care marketers, we need to know how to answer these questions and also be able to leverage what we know to educate the community. It’s our civic duty. This is a great place to get educated.
I’ve been reading this blog for years. It’s written by Dan Dunlop, a veteran health care marketer who has written guest posts for many of the same blogs in the list. He’s on top of the trends and it’s easy to read if you are a busy professional.

This isn’t a blog but I couldn’t leave it out of the list. You do have to subscribe but I promise you, it’s a must-read. This newsletter offers a great perspective on physician management and promotion, social media, website design, mobile development and case studies galore!
