Position Description
Reports to: President
Term: Two years (additional 2-year term possible)
Requirements: Must be a member of WHPRMS. Consideration will be given to professional expertise and involvement and service to the organization.
Job Summary: Works with Board of Directors and Conference Planning Committee to plan, coordinate, and execute all networking events for WHPRMS.
Duties:
- Works with Treasurer to create an events budget
- Coordinates dates with Board of Directors to decide when to schedule events
- Coordinates with Board of Directors to determine best geographic locations for events
- Coordinates with approved locations on activities, food, and entertainment
- Works with Social Media and Website Representatives to manages pre-promotion of networking events
- Attends all networking events and serves as WHPRMS representative
- Coordinates with Treasurer to make sure all event expenses are paid
- Works with Conference Planning Committee to decide on networking events at the annual conference
- Revises planning materials and presents to the new networking chair
- Efficiently utilizes available resources, seeking board approval for any unbudgeted activities/expenditures
- Performs other related duties as requested by the president
- Attends at least four board of director meetings/phone conferences annually, either in-person or via phone. Special exceptions will be made upon approval by the president
- Updates job description if needed and forwards to the president
