AWARD CRITERIA

Nominees must…

• Have been current members of WHPRMS for at least one year before being nominated.
  
  
• Have 10 or more years’ experience in planning, marketing, or public relations/communications, including at least five years of direct involvement in the healthcare industry.
  
  
• Have demonstrated several of the following:

Innovation in strategy development, applying solid marketing, public relations, or planning techniques to functions such as new product development, product line management, sales, community relations, competitor assessment, needs assessment, forecasting or network development.

Ability to consistently produce outstanding work.

Enhancement of the credibility of the healthcare marketing/public relations profession, by participating in/ leading professional organizations, being published in professional literature or completing professional public speaking engagements.

Willingness to share their skills as a mentor to help others learn and grow.

Exceptional personal qualities and leadership abilities— whether at work or in the community, such as integrity, the ability to work with diverse groups, a record of exemplifying the values and ethics of healthcare marketing/public relations to people in other disciplines and fields, and community service/civic achievement on a local, regional or national level.
